As a professional educator and athlete, it is my sole responsibility to lead by example. If I expect my students to do something, I must be able to. Otherwise, my moral and ethical integrity and character would be compromised. It’s my responsibility to exhibit the determination and commitment to an adult lifestyle where individuals monitor their own participation in physical activity. I communicate the enjoyment, self-expression, challenge, and social benefits experienced by setting personal goals to improve one's performance in physical activities. With high-quality physical education instruction, students become confident, independent, resilient, and self-controlled. It reinforces the development of positive social skills and provides learning experiences that meet the developmental need of students, including leadership, responsibility, team unity and academic performance. Through my development as a leader, I accept and embrace my duty to educate and encourage youth in becoming open-minded, passionate, dedicated, and constructive community members, with a commitment to personal excellence, culturally, mentally and physically.
